The videoconferencing industry is witnessing tremendous growth over the past 12 months. With the huge reductions in leased line, ISDN charges, and calling costs over the past few months, small and medium enterprises are also looking at videoconferencing to connect to their various offices across the country, and it is becoming more affordable and a far cheaper alternative to flying. The Government and PSU sectors are also becoming more technology savvy and are implementing videoconferencing to connect their various offices across the country. The defense sector has become one of the largest buyers of videoconferencing, with almost all the Army Commands connecting their regiments over video, and also the Ministry of Defense looking at this to ensure immediate connectivity for their Chiefs of Staff of the Navy, Air Force and Army with the Defense Minister and Prime Minister.

New segments like Tele-Medicine and distance learning are opening up rapidly. With more focus from the Government on extending Tele-Medicine to the rural areas, state Governments in the East and the North are tying up with leading multi specialist hospitals for remote diagnosis for their patients. Videoconferencing is an integral part of this, with face-to-face contact between the doctor and the patient a requirement for the diagnosis and treatment.

The distance learning segment is witnessing a paradigm shift as Indian Technology and Management institutes are establishing collaborative relationships with Universities in other parts of the world for lectures from specialists in various fields of learning. State Governments are also looking at connecting central educational institutions to remote colleges spread across the State to broadcast classroom sessions and widen the reach of skilled teachers.

With a strong presence in both the corporate and Government sectors, and a reputation in the market as a leading and extremely reliable solution provider, we are in a great position to sell to this growing customer base across all segments.
